Meredith Hsiao has been drawing with colour-pencils and painting with watercolors since 2010. She graduated with a law degree from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 2000, received a Master in Law from National Taiwan University 3 years later, and a Master in International Law and Economics from the Univeresity of Bern a year later. After the social persuasion for not taking the bar exam in Chinese Taipei, she became a translator. For pursuit of love of her lover instead of bread, she insisted on staying as a translator. During the translation career, she gradually discovered her inner self - she wanted to draw and paint during her free time. Although a few years later, she gradually realized that pursuing love instead of bread could harm her physically and psychologically, she took the national exam in Chinese Taipei, and has become a civil servant in a school. And yet, she has not forgotten her inner self - drawing and painting - she has striven, during her free time, to complete her artworks.
